This month at Seven Castles Games, the spotlight wasn’t on new mechanics or shiny tokens—it was on something less visible but just as essential: the groundwork that will help bring our games to life.

From NDAs to numbers, from artist meetings to investor calls, here’s a peek behind the curtain.

🧾 Business Before the Magic
Behind every great game is a mountain of behind-the-scenes work. In June, we focused on:

• Drafting and finalizing NDAs to protect our creative and collaborative work
• Crafting detailed business plans to guide our growth
• Engaging with manufacturers, illustrators, and designers to move toward production
• Building solid financial models to ensure both Steam Cities and Equestrian are viable, scalable, and deliverable

🎯 Smart Cuts, Same Heart
Game design isn’t just about adding—sometimes it’s about refining. We’ve been working hard to understand where we can cut costs without cutting corners. The goal? Preserve the essence and experience of each game while making production realistic.

🧪 Tabletopia Testing Resumed
We restarted our public online testing for both games this month, and the response has been incredible!

✅ Your feedback has helped us fine-tune rules, balance strategies, and discover what players love most
✅ New testers from around the world joined our growing community, offering insights that are shaping the future of both games

💡 Looking Forward
We also spent time rethinking how we can approach investors, publishers, and grants. Not every opportunity is the right fit, and we’re learning to say no strategically—so we can say yes to what really matters.
