Believing in the Dream

Balancing Passion, Projects, and Real Life

Working on three board games at once, Steam Cities, Equestrian, and Car Collection, has been an incredible journey so far. But we won’t lie: it’s also been extremely tough.

We’re not a big studio. We’re a small team juggling full-time jobs, family responsibilities, and a dream we’re trying to bring to life during evenings, weekends, and whatever spare moments we can steal. That means the reality is long hours after our 9-to-5 jobs, pushing through fatigue to keep development moving forward. And it’s not glamorous. It’s late nights, slow progress, and the constant challenge of believing in the vision even when it’s hard to see the next step.

Finding playtesters and gathering feedback for three different projects is another mountain to climb. Strategy-wise, we’re always questioning: are we investing our limited time in the right features? Are we building the right kind of experience? Every decision feels important, but making those decisions with limited bandwidth is a real challenge.

On top of that, there’s real life. Bills to pay. Families that need us. People we love who we don’t want to neglect. This isn’t just about game design, it’s about carving out space for creativity in a world that doesn’t always reward it right away.

Some days, we honestly just need to step away.

Not to give up, but to recover. To breathe. To remind ourselves why we’re doing this in the first place. Because even when the path feels unclear, we believe in these games. We believe in the worlds we’re building and the joy they can bring to players one day.

This isn’t easy. But it’s real. And if you’re working on your own creative project while juggling everything else, we see you. We’re right there with you. And we’re going to keep going, slowly, steadily, with a lot of heart.

Thanks for being part of the journey.
