Current project status:

Updates:
October 2025: Steady progress continues as Equestrian surpasses 50 playtests. Improved horse markets, smoother UI, and deeper event systems bring new life to the stables.
September 2025: Over 50 playtests completed! Featuring a smoother UI, rebalanced rules, richer events, and a deeper horse market.
August 2025: Equestrian’s End-of-Year Market was refined so players without a second stable can sell their horse (or a prize if short on coins) to acquire a new one. The Prize/Gold/VP conversion was also streamlined — 3 Prizes = 1 Gold = 1 VP, 2 Prizes = 2 Gold = 2 VP, 1 Prize = 3 Gold = 3 VP — and Gold no longer counts as VP at the end of the game.
July 2025: With online testing back in full stride and visual planning underway, July was all about refining gameplay and preparing to bring Equestrian’s world to life in vivid detail.
June 2025: June was all about building strong foundations — from business planning to renewed playtesting — as we prepare to bring Equestrian to life with quality, strategy, and care.
May 2025: Added a new token to indicate stable upgrades, Milestone Completed: The game has successfully undergone its first external playtest sessions with consistent feedback on mechanics and engagement, Next Step: Blind playtesting resumes June 7 at The Black Sheep, Dublin.
April 2025: Playtesting continues with a key new rule added and art development underway.
March 2025: With Tabletopia ready, key rule tweaks in place, and art direction underway, we’re gearing up for blind playtesting!
February 2025: Playtesting is in full swing, with exciting refinements including improved balance for riders and horses, revised turn order mechanics, enhanced event rewards, a redesigned turn mat, an arena mat with pole positions, adjusted starting coins, rebalanced event cards, a new end-of-event rule, an updated rulebook, and the beginning of the search for an artist, all leading up to blind playtesting—thank you for your invaluable feedback!
January 2025: Equestrian: Horse Show Mechanics 2.0, Now featuring Riders with interlinked relationship with their horses.
December 2024: Conducting playtests on the latest iteration, which features rebalanced starting cards, the addition of tokens representing horse wealth, and updated rules for potential future market sale prices of horses.
